Abstract

Work period is important because long-term employees have high productivity. If employees are uncomfortable in the workplace will cause work stress. Monotonous work in a long time can lead to bored and a sense of saturation for workers who can then trigger stress. Stress from work will cause a variety of adverse effects ranging from decreased health and increase the risk of work accidents. The work done by the labor winding section in PT. Iskandar Indah printing textile Surakarta is heavy and requires good physical strength, work spirit, and physical endurance. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the work period with work stress on the labor winding section in PT. Iskandar Indah printing textile Surakarta. The type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population of this research is the whole labor on the winding section of 50 people taken with exhaustive sampling technique. Data analysis using Chi-square test. Result of research indicate there is relation between work period with work stress with p-value value equal to 0,012 ˂ 0,05. Keywords: Work Period, Work Stress, Labor Winding Section
