Abstract
Kampoeng Batik Lawean is one of the batik industrial centers that developed in the city of Surakarta. There are several company that produce different type of Batik one of them is Batik cap Supriyarso companywhich specifically make stamp batik type. There are some workers with six different work station. In this research using PATH method, work station observed only work station that is non-repetitive that were 5 work station. Batik process is done manually and takes a long time from 8:00 to 15:00 so that it can cause various kinds of complaints experienced by the worker that is work fatigue and work risk causing injury. Therefore evaluated the risk of muscle injury using Posture Activity Tools Handling (PATH) method and Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS) method. The result evaluation of PATH method is frequency of exposure time and for OWAS method the work risk category is action level. It is found that PATH shows the final result that is for the activity of preparing the machine and the cloth on the highest frequency back segment of neutral posture is 62%, the leg segment is the walking posture of 61%, for the highest work height is below knee which is 60%. As for the OWAS method the final result of the worker 1 for the binding activity of the cloth has a 4-digit code so the action lavel activity is 2 which means that the attitude is dangerous it is necessary to make improvements in the future.
