Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning of teachers in learning art of karawitan, the learning of art of karawitan, the implementation of learning karawitan art, and describe the evaluation of art learning curriculum oriented character values at SMPN 14 Surakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative research type. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used in this research is interactive analysis. The validity of the data in this study was tested by the credibility test carried out by triangulation. Triangulation used is triangulation of source and technique. The results showed: 1) Teacher planning in the learning of character-oriented art in SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta has been well organized. 2) The learning planning of character-oriented art in SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta is well executed, the syllabus is obtained by the teacher from the education office and then made RPP as a benchmark or teaching aid in teaching. 3) Implementation of art learning karawitan character-oriented values in SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta in accordance with RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) which has been made before implementing the teacher learning process on students. 4) Evaluation of karawitan art-oriented curriculum character-oriented in SMP Negeri 14 Surakarta. Evaluation conducted by the principal to find out the extent to which the activities of learning activities when implemented by teachers educators.
