Abstract

Indonesia is one of the most rice producing countries in Asia. Rice is the main food crop of the people of Indonesia. Rice crops can be hasvested two three times a year. However, some farmers still do not have specific knowledge about the right time to harvest rice. Information technology can be utilized to help solve problems in agriculture, especially rice crops. So the purpose of this research is to build an application of rice harvest detection system. Detection and recognition of objects in the image has been developed. One of the methods that can be used is Fuzzy C-Means Clustering (FCM). One of the parameters of famers in determining the time of rice harvest is to see the color of rice leaves that have been yellowing. Utilizing rice leaf color can be made a detection system to determine the harvest and the rice is not rice ready for harvest. The application of the detection system is built through the MATLAB Graphic User Interface (GUI) Toolbox which can help facilitate research and system made has met the desired target of 94,11%.
