Abstract
Small and medium industry (IKM) Rejo Art is a creative industry which manufactures toy cars made from wood. In the activities of production, there is a wide range of activities including making patterns, pattern cutting, machining, Assembly and finishing. Based on observations in the field, finishing Division job characteristics related to the job sit static postures for more than seven hours. This condition causes the workers experience fatigue and potentially cause musculoskeletal disorders (musculoskeletal disorders). This study discusses the working posture analysis on finishing Division workers and provide recommendations in the form of an ergonomic work station design in the form of a software simulation using a Jack. Work posture assessment done by combining analytical methods ergonomics i.e. Posture Evaluation Index (PEI) which integrates the value of LBA, OWAS, and RULA. The results showed the value of actual PEI of 2.21. After the change of working posture through an ergonomic work station design, PEI value decline into 1.32. This shows that the design of the new work stations capable of reducing the risk of the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders in workers.
