Abstract

The need for health education by monitoring or supervising the practice of CTPS on the behavior of CTPS in elementary school children can continue to be preserved, which in its activities requires support from various parties related to the 21 Day Handwashing with Soap Movement (G21H CTPS). The study aims to find out the successful implementation of the 21 Day Hand Washing With Soap (G21H CTPS) program at SD Negeri Tungulsari 2 Surakarta. This research uses qualitative method with phenomenology approach to explain about the success of the G21H CTPS. Data collecting technique with interviews to seven people and an informant triangulation in the research as much as one person from the organizing committee as well as companion G21H CTPS activities in Surakarta. Results include the implementation of the 21-day movement program activities of handwashing with soap for 2 periods. The G21H CTPS program is conducted for 21 consecutive days without breaking up to form healthy habits. The G21H CTPS is a program that aims to establish permanent healthy habits in students 5 times important is the soapy mandai, wash hands with soap, before eating wash hands with soap, after eating wash hands with soap And after from the toilet. The special pattern of the school in the success of the 21-day handwashing program with soap is socialization at several organizations such as PKK meetings, kelurahans, RRI broadcasts, TATV broadcasts, and live broadcasts to META radio. The habit of washing hands with water alone is not enough to protect a person from the germs that are attached to the hand. Hand washing with soap proved effective in killing germs that stick in the hands. Follow up with the success it is every bathroom or WC there is soap to wash hands.
