Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the form of the master contained in the short story of Fakhrunnas MA Jabbar (2) describe the meaning of majas majas contained in the short story of Fakhrunnas MA Jabbar (3) describes the implementation of the results of this research in the literary learning in SMK. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach. The data used in this research is a sentence or paragraph contained in the short story of Fakhrunnas MA Jabbar. The source of data in this research is short story of Fakhrunnas MA Jabbar's masterpiece and the supporting source in this research. Data grab technique used is library technique, refer to and record. Data analysis uses semiotic model reading method which includes heuristic and hermeneutic readings. Data validity technique using triangulation theory. Based on the analysis, the results of this study are (1) the form of the master in the short story of Emak including metaphor, simile, personification, metonimia, and sinekdoki (2) metaphors about figurative language, simile about comparison, personification of inanimate objects as if life, metonimia about the use of attributes to replace an object, and sinekdoki with respect to the use of the term for something important, (3) This research can be implemented in learning literature in vocational school that is class X semester 1. Fakhrunnas MA Jabbar fulfill criteria as a literary material both in terms of, from the angle of language, the facet of mental maturity (psychology), and the angle of cultural background.
