Abstract

Problem statment of this reseach is, "How is the planning of writing a scientific report in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta?", "How is the implementation of writing scientific report writing in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta?", And "How is the assessment of writing a scientific report in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta?". The object of this research is learning to write scientific reports. This study uses descriptive qualitative design, because the data obtained is qualitative data in the form of a collection of tangible words and not a series of numbers and can not be arranged in categories / structure classification. The results of research in class still have errors writing both spelling, sentence accuracy and sentence structure. But unfortunately there are still the work of students who plagiarized from the internet, there is exactly the same as a friend of a class. Judging from the whole aspect studied there are still many misuse of the use of punctuation between point and comma, capital letters, and font letters in making scientific papers. Behavior of students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta after following the study of writing scientific report through inquiry model has changed toward positive. Changes in the behavior of learners is evidenced by the nontes data in the form of observation guides, student journals, teacher journals, and photo documentation on the work of his writing.
