Abstract

This research was conducted in educational environment Vocational High School (SMK) Muhammadiyah Garut, which aims to find and identify factors causing work stress in teachers. the respondents in this study amounted to six teachers. Findings in this study are there are five factors causing the teacher's work stress is first, the condition of students that include student delinquency and different ability of students. Second, the heavy task burden includes the existence of moral duties, overwork, and student achievement pressure. third, the working environment includes fellow teacher conflicts, lack of cooperation, and salary delays. fourth, the existence of multiple roles of teachers include lack of time for family, and busy activity of organization. fifth, the existence of regulations includes full day school regulations, and the existence of child protection and human rights laws.
