Abstract

Background: Weight gain is the most important anthropometric measure and most commonly used in infants. Weight changes are often associated with ideal weight, normal weight, normal weight, and weight now (BBS). To support the increase, the baby needs adequate nutrition and stimulation. Massage is a touch and massage in the baby can guarantee a body contact that can maintain a safe baby's feelings and provides many benefits. While the SPA is a traditional effort that uses a holistic approach, through thorough care by using a combination of hydrotherapy and massage which is done in an integrated way to balance the body, mind and feeling. Age of 3-6 months old is a great time for babies to get to know the pool, this is because the aquatic reflexes have not disappeared. Objective: To find out the influence of Baby Spa and Baby Massage on baby weight gain Age of 3 - 6 months. Research Methods: This study uses an experimental quasi approach with two groups pre and post test research design. Sampling technique based on Purposive Sampling method with total population of 65 babies and sample used as much as 30 babies. Results: Based on Wilcoxon results in the Baby Spa and Baby Massage group, the value of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) = 0.005 or p <0.05, meaning there is a influence of baby spa and baby massage on baby's weight gain. While Mann Whitney test results, baby weight gain given Baby Spa and Baby Massage with Asymp results. Sig (2-tailed) = 0,000 (Asynp Sig (2-tailed) <0,05) with the conclusion of H0 (Denied) which means "there is a significant difference in effect between giving Baby Spa and Baby Massage. Conclusion: The influence between baby spa and baby massage on baby weight gain which proves that baby spa is faster to increase the baby's weight.
