Abstract
This research entitled “the absorption of manpower in central java province 2010-2014”. This study aims to analyze and find out how big the influence of human development index, economic growth and regional minimum wage, to the absorption of manpower in central java in 2010-2014. This analysis tool uses panel data regression. Panel data is a composite of cross-sections covering thirty five districts and cities in central java an time series over five years-175 observations. The result of this research shows tat cross section Fixed Effect Method (FEM) is the best panel data regretion model, while time series Fixed Effect Method (FEM) is the best panel data regression model. Based on the analysis found that the human development index has a significant influence on the absorption of labor in cross section. While the human development index has a significant effect on the absorption of labor in time series. For that the goverment must make various effort to create employment so that the demand for high employment so as to reduce the unemployment rate.
