Abstract

The increasing number of elderly population in Indonesia accordingly increasing also requirement of health service for elderly. Therefore it is very necessary for the posyandu elderly to help improve the health of the elderly. Through elderly posyandu activities it is expected that health volunteer can help elderly to improve their health status independently. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and knowledge among health volunteer with liveliness in the Pucangan District of Kartasura. This research method was Observational with Cross sectional design. The population of study was 139 respondents from already posyandu health volunteer .The sample in this study was 139 respondents. Statistical test with significant level (α = 0,05) using Chi Square test. Chi Square test results show there is a relationship between family support and knowledge health valunteer with liveliness of elderly posyandu health valunteer (p-value < 0,001). It is suggested to the health volunteer to maintain good family support dan kwonledge and to improve the things that are still lacking.
