Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was done at SMPN 1Kartasura Sukoharjo. Cooperative learning means to enhance students' activities. One of the cooperative learning is applying make a match strategy. The objectives of the study are to find out students' activities and students' learning outcome by using Make a Match Srategy on social interaction effect towards Social Mobility of grade 8c and 8d students of SMPN1 kartasura. The method of this study is an experiment which applied in grade 8c and 8d students with a total of 66 students. Both classes are divided into two classes. An experiment class and a controlling class. It applied convensional strategy (lecture) while the experiment class applied Make a Match Strategy. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that the application of make a match strategy on social interaction effect towards social mobility material shows a dispute of learning outcome that is 10% for controlling class and 5,5% for experiment class. The average of students' activities shows that Make a Match strategy is more effective in enhancing students activities (69.4) compared to convensional method (3.19).
