Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication and religiosity in families with adolescent sexual behavior. Knowing the relationship of interpersonal communication with adolescent sexual behavior and knowing religiosity relationship in family with teen sexual behavior. Population in this research is adolescent of SMA Negeri in Surakarta which amounted to 8 schools with sample of research that is student of class X and XI from one State Senior High School in Surakarta which amount 110 student. The sampling technique used is the Quota Cluster Sampling technique, which is the method where the population is grouped based on the quota of the existing classes. Data analysis in this research use non-parametric correlation technique. Based on the existing results bahwasannya for major hypothesis submitted fall where there is no relationship of interpersonal communication and religiosity in the family with teenage sexual behavior, it is because there is an assumption test that does not meet the requirements of the normality. According to Spearman's Rho test results for minor hypotheses that sexual behavior and interpersonal communication bahwasannya there is a significant negative relationship between interpersonal communication with adolescent sexual behavior and there is a significant negative relationship between religiosity in the family with teenage sexual behavior, then the proposed minor hypothesis can be accepted. The effective contribution of interpersonal communication to adolescent sexual behavior is 12,39%, while effective contribution of religiosity in family with adolescent sexual behavior is 8,46%, hence effective contribution of sexual behavior with interpersonal communication and religiosity in family is 20,85%. It was concluded that adolescent sexual behavior can be influenced by the interpersonal communication of parents and children and the existence of religiosity in the family. The implications of this study indicate that the effort to control the sexual behavior of children is necessary for interpersonal communication between parents and children Keywords: interpersonal communication, religiosity, and adolescent sexual behavior
