Abstract
The teacher is a central figure in determining the success of learners, especially associated with the process of achieving high quality learning outcomes. Similarly, prospective teachers must have TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) capabilities to invent quality learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of TPACK biology prospective teachers in preparing lesson plan based on curriculum 2013 in academic year 2016/2017. Type of this study was descriptive qualitative. The method of this study used documentation to obtain data namely CK, PK, PCK, TK, TCK, TPK and TPACK. The participants of this study consisted of 40 prospective teachers that taken randomly. The result indicated that unfavorable percentage of TPACK (49.27%) in each ability; (a) CK 60.42% (sufficient), (b) PK 64.49% (sufficient), (c) PCK 61.15% (sufficient), (d) TK 42.90% (Insufficient), (e) TKC 50.94% (insufficient), (f) TPK 28.13% (poor), (g) TPACK 38.88% (insufficient). Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the capability of TPACK prospective biology teachers in Faculty of Teacher and Training Education or FKIP UMS are sufficient.
