Abstract
In general, a father has a role that is working to earn a living for his family and mother has the role of organizing and managing the household. Now many mothers who work to help her husband to fulfill his family's economy. The purpose of this research is to know and describe the subjective well being mothers who have multiple roles. This research uses qualitative approach. Subjects in this study amounted to 6 mothers who have dual roles of mothers who work outside and become housewives in the village area X, district Karanganyar.Teknik subject selection this study is a purposive sampling technique. Data collection used in this research is interview. The results obtained are mothers who have multiple roles can perform their role as working mother and as mother and wife for child and husband. With the purpose of life of each subject such as wanting to see his children succeed school to high stage, wanting his son to get a job that is well established and good life, want to see his children soon get married subject keep trying to achieve the purpose of life is achieved. In addition, subject activities to fill his spare time in the office, home, weekend, activities in the environment where he lives can make the subject entertained and refreshed. Factors that affect subjective well being in the subject are life goals, gratitude, joy, happiness, comfort, positive thinking, controlled emotions, support from family and parents, positive relationships with spouses and children, have quality time with family, Leisure time with family and follow activities in the environment where he lived.
