Abstract

This study aims to find out the freedom to choose based on existentialism approach in Bound (2014) novel by okky Madasari. The researcher uses a qualitative method. The researcher uses two data sources: primary and secondary. The primary data source is Bound (2014) novel by Okky Madasari. Secondary data source includes literature books, articles, and website that are related to the novel and the author. Method of collecting data is descriptive. The technique of analyzing data uses descriptive qualitative. Based on the existentialism analysis. This analysis contains seven aspects, they are being, existence before essence, consciousness (cogito), freedom to choose, anxiety, transcendence of ego, and nothingness, Also based on the freedom analysis. Okky Madasari stated all of the human have their own freedom to live. They have freedom in passionate and what they want to be.
