Abstract
Indonesia's high maternal mortality rate reflects low well-being in pregnant women. This happens because of various complications of pregnancy and emotional state until the birth of a baby who experienced psychological changes such as feeling sad, hesitant, panic to feel very happy. The purpose of this study was to describe the well-being of primigravid mothers with high-risk pregnancies and the factors that influenced them. This study used a qualitative approach to case studies with informants 9 people of high-risk third-trimester pregnant women working or not working. Methods of data collection using interview techniques, while the validity of data using triangulation of data sources. The results showed subjective wellbeing derived from a sense of satisfaction and pride in themselves because of the pregnancy experience. This happens because of the social support received so as to encourage a sense of optimism, happy, calm and spirit on every informant to maintain health during pregnancy. In pregnant women who work, job demands cause psychological pressure but the support directly from colleagues such as providing assistance in the work process to provide comfort to the informant. The internal factors that affect the welfare of health conditions during pregnancy include pregnancy disorders and high risk of pregnancy, spirituality and knowledge, while external factors are the social support of husband, family, colleagues, health workers and job demands. Social support is a strategy to overcome negative affects the most sought after informants, by sharing stories to husbands, friends or health workers enough to calm the heart and reduce the fear of informants to the condition of pregnancy. With the high social support received by pregnant women the higher the welfare that will be obtained. High risk of pregnancy experienced by primigravida mother is low placenta, history of bleeding, low height, hypertension, umbilical cord, placenta calcification, hyperemesis gravidarum, anemia, fetal breech position and accompanying physical symptoms.
