Abstract

The problem of market waste is a problem that until now is very complicated. The negative impacts of market waste can affect health, potentially infecting various diseases and environmental pollution. The volume of waste generated in Bunder Market of Sragen is 7 tons per day, so waste management must be done. Based on the preliminary survey at Bunder Market in Sragen, it is known that traders are still littering. Health education by using radioland on waste management is expected to increase the knowledge of traders. This study aims to determine the effect of waste management materials using radioland to the knowledge and attitude of traders in Bunder Market Sragen. This type of research is Quasi Eksperimental. The research population is all traders in Bunder Sragen market with sample of 104 traders of experimental group and 104 control group traders. Data analysis using Mann Whitney Test. The result of the research shows that there is influence of the waste management material to the merchant knowledge (p = 0,001) and the merchant attitude (p = 0,001).
