Abstract

Congestive heart failure is an inability the heart to pump blood adequcy to was needed of oxygen and nutrition (American Heart Association (AHA ). CHF patient will decrease the quality of life , felt anxiety , high emotion to get worse quality of life of patients .Hence there should have been the ability to manage emotional in form of emotional intelligence for better. Getting better and better emotional intelligence will improve the quality of life . thw objective of this study was to know the relationship between emotional intelligence with quality of life of patients congestive heart failure at dr .Moewardi hostpital .The kind of research this is quantitative research. method using descriptive correlative with the design of the research uses cross sectional . Patient population research congestive heart failure who were in cardiac ambulatory, samples taken as many as 30 patients with the sample collection technique using accidental of sampling.Intrumen the research uses kuesoner emotional intelligence of macnew and the quality of life of goleman. Data analysis using Chi Squarae test. The results of the study of assay Chi Square obtained value p-value = 0,001 (p<0,05), so that a conclusion that taken in this research is emotional intelligence relating to the quality of life of patients congestive heart failure at dr .Moewardi hospital. The higher intelligence emotional the better quality of life with the majority of respondents have intelligence emotional low and the majority of respondents have the quality of life of bad.
