Abstract
ABSTRACT BEHAVIOR OF SQUARE-SHAPED FOOTING FOUNDATION ON THE SAND LAND BASED ON LOAD The purpose of this research is to find out the footing foundation with skirt bearing capacity on sand using nine square-shaped foundations with different variations, six skirt foundations with length (L) 100 mm and (L) 150 mm attached to three different foundation widths are foundation with(B) 75 mm, (B) 100 mm and (B) 150 mm. And three other footing foundations without skirts of the same width.The bearing capacity of the foundation is the most important factor for planning the foundation. in this study the skirt is used to increase the bearing capacity of the square-shaped footing foundation. The result of the addition of a skirt is verry affective, evident from the maximum load capable of being held up by a foundation of 27 kN on a foundation (B) of 150 mm with (L) 150 mm, the greater the width and length of the foundation the greater the maximum capable load compared to the skirted foundation.In addition to the maximum loading of the foundation with large width and length also have the least decreased, it is observed when the foundation has the same loading as 0.35 mm in the foundation with (B) 150 mm (L) 150 mm. It can be concluded that enlarging the width of the foundation and extending the skirt is very effective to increase the bearing capacity of the square footing foundation with skirt of the sand ground.
