Abstract
This research entitled "Analysis of Rice Demand in Central Java Province Year 2013-2015 (Empirical Study of Regency or City in Central Java)". The purpose of this research is to analyze how the influence of rice price, corn price, population, and GRDP on rice demand in Regency or City in Central Java Province based on period of 2013-2015. This research uses secondary data with panel data regression analysis technique. The results show that fixed effect model (FEM) is the most appropriate data panel model. Based on the validity test of influence or t test, the price of rice and the gross regional domestic product have a significant effect on the demand of rice, while the price of corn and the population do not significantly influence the demand of rice. While F test, fallow price, corn price, population, and gross regional domestic product together influence on demand of rice. The estimation results show that R2 sebesar 0.997695 means that 99.76% of Rice demand can be explained by independent variables of Rice Price, Corn Price, Population, and GRDP. The remaining 0.24% is explained by other factors not included in the model.
