Abstract
Research development made to produce learning media in the form of video media are used as a learning medium criteria applied to disaster preparedness school students SMP Negeri 2 Kemalang. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning criteria used to enhance student learning outcomes in disaster preparedness school extracurricular activities, as well as be able to describe the technique of making media video study on program of extracurricular activities the school disaster preparedness disaster volcanic material. Types of data used in this research is qualitative data and quantitative data. Techniques of data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the development is the creation of learning media products in the form of video media materials volcano disaster lasted ± 9 minutes. The video media can improve learning outcomes i.e. the average value of the post test students of 92.30, before using media score average pre test of 53.85 including on criteria less interested, the media becomes after using increased 38.45% are included on the criterion of interest to study the volcano disaster using video.
