Abstract
Happiness becomes something everyone wants to have. Therefore consciously or not human always strive to achieve happiness. Carol D. Ryff. Ryff mentioned several factors affecting one's happiness are: cultural background, economy class, economic level, education level, and personality. The informant in this study is a housewife who works as a teacher in a middle-aged Boarding School 30 to 50 years, has served for 5 to 25 years, and has children. This study aims to explore further how the psychological welfare of housewives who work as teachers in pesantren and its factors. Method of collecting data used is interview and non participant observation. The results showed that housewives who work as teachers in boarding schools have high psychological welfare, from the six aspects of psychological wellbeing the highest aspect held is the aspect of self-acceptance and purpose of life. Then, the factors that can affect the psychology welfare of housewife who is a teacher at boarding school, among others, optimism, social relations, religiosity and education.
