Abstract
The issue of nutritional status has a serious impact on the quality of future generations. A good future generation can be determined from the quality of the toddlers too. Therefore, it is necessary to supervise the nutrition statistics of children under five so that no nutritional problems occur. Factors of low knowledge and completeness of immunization status are two of the causes of nutritional problems. This study aimed to determine the relationship between mother’s knowledge and immunization status with nutritional status of toddlers aged 2-3 years old in work area of Primary health service of Klego 1 Boyolali. This research was a quantitative research with cross sectional design. The subjects were chosen using proportional random sampling, which was taken by drawing based on the proportion of samples in each village according to the inclusion criteria with the total of 43 respondents. Mother’s knowledge data and immunization status were obtained through interviews using respondents with questionnaires, height was measured using microtoice, body weight was measured by digital scales and analyzed using WHO Anthro software. Rank-Spearman analysis was conducted to see the relationship between mother’s knowledge and immunization status with nutritional status. Based on the result of research, there was no significant relationship between knowledge (p = 0,690) and immunization status (p = 0,662) with nutritional status. 2 Immunization knowledge and status were not the direct factors affecting nutritional status. Socio-economic status might inhibit the application of knowledge and behavior to improve nutrition of children. There was no relationship between mother’s knowledge and immunization status with nutritional status of toddlers aged 2-3 years old in Primary health service of Klego 1 Boyolali.
