Abstract

Cases of domestic violence in Indonesia show an increase every year. Acts of violence that occur within the household may be in the form of psychic, physical, neglect of responsibility, sexual violence and religiosity. The violence resulted in physical or psychological injury and caused trauma to the victim. The purpose of this study is to describe the psychological dynamics of the behavior of the victims of domestic violence. Informants in this study amounted to 5 people, two of whom are divorced, one person in the process of divorce, and two others still marry. Methods of data collection in this study are interviews and observations, which are analyzed thematically. Based on the results of this study, it is known that if the behavioral dynamics of the victims of violence, the victims of violence who forgive their partners related to the couple before the violence occurred. The child is also one of the things that underlies the victim maintaining the household. Principle on victims of violence to defend the household, and religiosity of victims of violence. Relating to factors affecting the behavior of forgiveness is due to the child's factor, principle, and religiosity of the victims. The stages through which the victims of violence begin to feel pain are wounded, alleviate hatred, try to self-heal and re-start a new relationship, either with their husbands or ex-husbands.
