Abstract

Target which wish reached in this research, that is 1) description of student ability in altering active sentence become passive, and 2) description of student ability in altering passive sentence become active. This research type is qualitative research. This research conducted in SMKN 1 Nawangan, Pacitan, East Java. Data this research in the form of result student answer to problem of distorting of sentence aktif-pasif conversely. Technique of data collecting used in this research is consisted of by the test, observation, and documentation. Technique analyse the data gone through to pass the step of following 1) checking and analysing sentence which have been altered 2) giving score of checked aspect 3) summary of assessment data obtained by a student to each; every accurate aspect, and 4) drawing node. Result of this research indicate that the student ability in altering active sentence become passive pursuant to score of accuracy mean 30 student in altering 10 sentence is 6,5. Average value show the number 65. Becoming, 73% student can alter the active sentence become passive. Student ability in altering passive sentence become active is 7,8. Average value show the number 78. Equally 86% student can alter the passive sentence become active. percentage of student. Ability in altering compared to by higher sentence pasif-aktif of sentence aktif-pasif. percentage of Distorting of sentence pasif-aktif of equal to 86%, showing compared to by higher of distorting of sentence aktif-pasif of equal to 73%.
