Abstract
Backgroud : Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenaration disorder of cartilaginous structure in the joints. The most common joint that have OA is knee. In this case the patient could treated with physiotheraphy modalities which are infrared, transcutaneus electrical stimulation and exercise therahy. In this case, physiotheraphy could reduce pain, enhase muscle strength and functional activity. Aim of Reseacrh : to find out the effect of infra red, transcutneous electrical stiulation and exercise theraphy on pain reduction, enchance muscle strength and functional activity. Result : After six treatments, the result is a reduction of pain in her pain, T0: 1 to T6 is still 1, T0: 3 and T6: 1 tenderness, T0: 1 and T6 still still 1. To increase external muscle strength of genus T0: 4-t6: 4, genuine flexor T0: 4 T6: 4. For increased functional activity T0: 7.5 T6: 5. Conclusion : Infra red, transcutaneous electrical stimulation and exercise therapy can reduce pain, increase oot strength and improve functional activity.
