Abstract

Love is a feeling of emotion possessed by an individual that appears without coercion and gives a positive influence on the individual. This study aims to describe the meaning of love a wife who underwent a long distance marriage (long distance marriage). Subjects in this study amounted to 6 wives who underwent long-distance marriage. Data collection using semi structured interviews. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis can be concluded research subjects have feelings of love that is realized by contacting the husband, often say affection, planning to spend time together when the husband came home, contact colleagues or relatives to ask about the husband's condition, and visit the husband when there is spare time and More sustenance. Couples have an agreement that one day will stay with spouse and family. This raises feelings of worry, sadness, and bad thinking towards the husband. Factors that affect the love of wives who undergo longdistance marriage is divided into two, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include confidence, communication, understanding and coping (problem-solving ability). External factors that affect the love of wives undergoing long-distance marriage include distance, husband support, and telephone or network. The way to maintain a long-distance marriage is to communicate, give each other trust, and give each other support other. Kata kunci : wife, the meaning of love, long distance marriage.
