Abstract
Stunting in adolescents is caused by the inadequate quantity and quality of food reflections that will impact to adulthood. Based on preliminary survey on 120 students, the prevalence of stunting in SMP Negeri 1 Nguter is 41,66%. This study aims to determine the difference between fat intake and body fat percentage in stunting and non-stunting adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Nguter Sukoharjo. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design. The sample was chosen by simple random sampling which fulfilled the inclusion criteria with the number of samples were 80 students. Fat intake data were collected by interviewing respondents directly using 24-hour Recall form 6 times, percent body fat measured using fat calipers skinfold caliper at four points of measurement, height measured using microtoice and analyzed using WHO Anthro Plus. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and independent t-test were conducted to see the difference between fat intake and body fat percentage in stunting and non-stunting adolescents. Based on the result of research that was processed with SPSS V.17 the average percentage of fat intake in stunting female adolescents was mild deficit category (78.25%), while in non-stunting group was normal category (106,52%).there was significant difference between fat intake (p = 0,001) and percent body fat (p = 0,004) with stunting event. The conclusion is that there is a difference between fat intake and body fat percentage in stunting and non-stunting adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 1 Nguter.
