Abstract

Background: WHO (2016), recorded 17.5 million people worldwide died from cardiovascular disorders. More than 75% of cardiovascular patients occur in low- and middle-income countries, and 80% of cardiovascular deaths are caused by heart attacks. The purpose of this study to know the description of physical activity CHF patients at Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Hospital Klaten. Research method: This research includes descriptive research type with cross sectional research design. This study was conducted in the Heart Polyclinic at Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Hospital Klaten. The sampling technique chosen was using non probability sampling method with total sampling method with total sample 72 respondents from 864 total population. Tools for measuring variables using IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire) questionnaires and CHF-grade questionnaires based on the European Society of Cardiology. Data analysis using frequency distribution. Results: Patients with heart failure who responded with a minimum age of 37 years and a maximum age of 81 years with an average age of 58.6 years. The average respondent weighs 58.5 kg with a minimum weight of 40 kg and a maximum weight of 90 kg. The majority of patients with grade I heart failure grade is 68.1% and grade II is 31.9%. Level of activity with low category that is equal to 59,7%, moderate equal to 33,3%, high equal to 5,6%, and non- classification equal to 1,4%. Conclusion: The level of physical activity shows that most patients who are respondents are patients with low activity level.
