Abstract

Merbabu National Park Mount is one of the National Parks in Indonesia. Conservation of that have high biodiversity. Medicinal plants are all plant species that have medicinal properties. The purpose of this research is to know the species and diversity index of medicinal plants at an altitude of 2000 m. surface and level in Merbabu National Park Mount that of central java. This study used a purposive sampling with random sampling transect method by 2,5 m x 2,5 m of 10 plots. The result showed that there are 12 orders, 13 families and 15 species of medicinal plants. The diversity index of medicinal plant is 0,808 altitude of 2000 m. surface and level in Merbabu National Park Mount is moderate. Dominance species of Selaginella doederleini 0,3.
