Abstract
Industrial machinery is one source of noise in the workplace. In addition to affecting hearing loss, noise can also cause work stress. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of work stress level on employees exposed to noise above and below threshold value in milling, finishing and packing of pellet at PG Trangkil Pati. This research method using observational design with cross sectional approach. The population of this study is the employee of the manufacturing department of 105 employees. Sample selection by simple random sampling technique by drawing as many as 37 employees of the milling department and as many as 7 employees of pellet packing section and total sampling of 30 employees finishing section. Statistical test of work stress using independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a difference of work stress on labor exposed to noise above and below the threshold value in PG Trangkil Pati with significant value p-value 0.000 ≤ 0,05. Employees working in the mill (> NAB) experience more stress than in finishing and packing pellets (<NAB). It was concluded that noise with intensity above NAB could affect work stress.
