Abstract
There are three purposes of the study: (1) Describing the elements that build the collection of poetry Philosophia by Wachid Eko Purwanto. (2) Describing the dimension of progresivism in the collection of poetry Philosophia by Wachid Eko Purwanto. (3) Describing the implementation of research results dimension progressive collection of poetry Philosophia by Wachid Eko Purwanto in learning literature of senior high school. This research includes the type of qualitative research. The object under study is the dimension of progresivism collection of poetry by Wachid Eko Purwanto using semiotic study in implementation of teaching literary in Senior High School.Research data as qualitative data are words, phrases, sentences, and discourse. Data collection techniques in this study using literature study method, observation, and writing. Data analysis was done by reading the semiotic model, namely heuristic and hermeneutic reading. There are three results of the study: (1) Found the elements contained in the collection of poetry Philosophia by Wachid Eko Purwanto whichhis study was limited by physical structure and inner structure. (2) Discovered the progresivism dimension of progresivism in the collection of Philosophi poetry, there are four elements of progresivism analyzed using Riffaterre's semiotic theory. They include progresivism about truth, education, reality and experience, and value. (3) The progresivism dimension embodied in the collection of Wachid Eko Purwanto's Philosophia poems is appropriate and has relevant value as a teaching material in the school. This collection of poems contains poetic structure. The structure of the poem can be implemented on the students to discover the theme, the meaning, the message, and the atmosphere contained in the collection of poetry. This is in accordance with Basic Competence (KD) 3.16 which identifies the atmosphere, theme, and meaning of some poems contained in the anthology of poetry that is heard or read and Basic Competence (KD) 3.17 which analyzing the element of poetry builder.
