Abstract

Marital Satisfaction In Couples With Different Age (Phenomenological Study For Chronologic Age Of Older Wife) Lusiana zahrohlusiana@gmail.com FakultasPsikologiUniversitasMuhammadiyah Surakarta Abstract A married couple would expect happiness in marriage and hoped his marriage work satisfactorily.No exception in couples with different age of older wife. However, the fact that not all couples can feel a marriage with a state of happiness and satisfaction. This study aims to understand and describe marital satisfaction in coupleswith different age (phenomenological study for chronologic age of older wife). This research uses a qualitative approach, data collection using semi-structured interview technique as the main technique and open questionnaire as a supporter.Informants in this study are 5 married couples who marriedwith chronologic age of older wife, and have been married at least 2 years, informantsselected by purposive sampling.For the questionnaire, distributed to 80 married couplesrespondents and have been married at least 2 years. The results of the study with the questionnaire obtained data that about 87.5% of couples are satisfied with the marriage that is lived.Furthermore from the interview data, according to common of coupleswith different agewhochronologic age of older wife, are satisfied with the marriage that is lived. Marital satisfaction in coupleswith different age (phenomenological study for chronologic age of older wife) appear when married couple can against every conflict, supported by internal factors are consist of cooperation and flexible task distribution, intimacy, and acceptance of personality partner. While external factors are finances management, presence children of home, and supported from partner.Marital dissatisfaction in coupleswith different ageinclude ways to receive community stigma, communication, and economics.
