Abstract
This study aims to obtain an alternative choice of TPS with the optimal number of locations in Boyolali District. This research is expected to be taken into consideration in decision making to determine ideal amount and location, so it can be beneficial for all parties. Set covering problem (SCP) method aims to determine the minimum number of facilities, and determine the location of the facility in order to meet the existing demand by at least one facility quickly, SCP is used in handling the problem of demand. This study applies two scenarios, Scenario 1 considers the maximum time limit of workers. While scenario 2 takes into account the maximum time of waste source to reach the TPS. The results of Scenario 1 of the selected polling stations were 22 TPS which were used to serve 43 sources of waste in Boyolali District. Meanwhile, Scenario 2 TPS selected as many as 19 TPS which is used to serve 35 sources of waste that is in the vicinity of Boyolali City. Sensitivity analysis is done by reviewing if there is addition or decrease of waste volume generated by waste source. The results of the sensitivity analysis when there is a decrease in the volume amount of garbage requires the operation of 18 TPS, and when an increase of garbage volume the number of TPS to be operated is 19 TPS.
