Abstract

This study entitled "Study of determinants of the number of poor people in West Java Province in 2011-2015". This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of Human Development Index, Inflation, Total Unemployment and Economic Growth on Poverty in West Java Province in 2011-2015. The analysis tool uses panel data regression. Combined data panel of cross-sections covering 27 districts / cities in West Java Province, and a time series of five years. The results showed that Random Effect Method (REM) method is the best data panel regression model. Based on the analysis results found Inflation and Economic Growth is not significant to the level of poverty. While the Human Development Index and its Reduction are negative and significant to Poverty. For that the provincial government of West Java is expected to increase HDI and decrease Unemployment in accordance with the goal in order to reduce levels of Poverty among communities.
