Abstract

Hizbul Wathan Scouting is one of the autonomous organizations of Muhammadiyah which is engaged in scouting education based on Al-Qur'an and Hadith. The nature of Hizbul Wathan Scout Movement is character formation. The points are monotheism and the optimization of noble cultivation, which are guided by the Code of Honor "Promise and Law Guide". Character education has the same essence and meaning with moral education and morals. The aims are to establish people, citizens, and good citizens. The problem of the study in this research are: how the implementation of Hizbul Wathan Scout Movement in instilling character education in Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Manafi'ul 'Ulum Sambi, Boyolali and what are the factors supporting and inhibiting Hizbul Wathan Scout Movement in instilling character education. The purpose of this study are to find out how the Hizbul Wathan Scout Movement in instilling Character Education in Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Manfi'ul Ulum Sambi, Boyolali and any factors that support and inhibit Hizbul Wathan Scouting Movement at Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Manfi'ul Ulum Sambi, Boyolali in instilling Character building. This research is a field research using qualitative research . The methods used are interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that the implementation of Hizbul Wathan Scout Movement in instilling character education in Pondok Pesantren Muhammadiyah Manafi'ul 'Ulum Sambi, Boyolali is running well. The cultivation of character values, namely: religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democracy, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love of the homeland, appreciate achievement, friendship / communicative, peace loving, Social concerns and responsibilities that are shared and taught through some materials and activities, namely Kehizbul Wathanan, Scouting, Islamic and muhammadiyah. Then the supporting factors are: First, the students who are obliged to boarding. Second, the spirit of the students. Third, an experienced coach. Fourth, support from the cottage leadership. As for the inhibiting factor First, little student, Second, the administration is not neat. Third, HW equipment is incomplete. Fourth, number of HW coaches.
