Abstract
This study is aimed to investigate how greed for power of Louis XIV is reflected in Randall Wallace’s Man in the Iron Mask viewed from Individual Psychological Approach. Besides, this study is also aimed to examine the structural elements of the movie. In this study, the writer employs qualitative study in which there are two data sources in this method, namely primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source of the study is the movie it self. While, the secondary data sources are biography of the author and other relevant information. The writer collects the data from both primary and secondary data sources in sort of a document as evidence. Based on the analysis, the writer draws some conclusions as follow: first, Man in the Iron Mask is movie which is directed by Randall Wallace that tells us about the greed for power of Louis XIV as the major characters. Second, Louis XIV’s psychological problem appears from his inferiority feeling. The last, the greed for power can influence one’s life and others.
