Abstract
Current environmental conditions are increasingly alarming. This is because human actions that exploit natural resources and the environment and do not care about the consequences, then behavioral changes become the top priority in overcoming the environment. Enviromental ares are desrcibed as attitudes and actions that always seek to prevent the destruction of the natural environment and develop effort to repair the already existing natural demage. SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari offers a describe the implementation of environmentally caring charater education in SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari. This research use descriptive qualitative research approach. Data colletion by interview, obsevartion, and documentation. The data source is SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari. Include principals, teachers, students, and parents. The results of the study include: (1) involvement of teachers and parents in shool activities can provide a good example to students and environmental hygiene prorgam policies will instill a sense of environmental care; (2) the concept of nature-basic learning develops students sensitivity and awareness of environmental care; (3) outdoor learning can have a positive impact in the formation of student character, such as: a sense of responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, respect for others, learning to socialize and care about the environment. (4) complete facilities and infrastructure can support educating and teaching students to care about the environmental. The conclusion of the researcher is that SD Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari has implemented environmentally caring nature education with the existence of policy, concept and nature-based learning, the existence of environmental care program, and the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure for the implementation of environmental care for the students.
