Abstract
Background: Bell’s Pasly is an acute paralysis that occurs in the unknown part of the facial nerve. Bell's palsy is characterized by the onset of pain that varies around the ipsilateral ear followed by a weakness in the facial muscles within a few hours or days. The disease can be recurrent or recurrent and may cause weakness or paralysis. Physiotherapy modality used is infrared, electrical stimulation and mirror exercise. Purpose: To know if infrared can reduce facial spasm, to know whether electrical stimulation can help increase muscle strength and whether giving mirror exercise can improve facial muscle strength and improve patient functional ability. Result: After 6 therapy result (1) showed that on T1 serious spasm happened, then spasm of patient decreased after therapy intervention on T4 where left facial muscle spasm started to soften, (2) some muscles are increase, M. Frontalis (T1 = 1 - T6 = 3) and M. Nasalis (T1 = 1 - T6 = 3), (3) muscle functional capacity (T1 = 9 - T6 = 21) is increased. Conclusion: The management of physiotherapy in Bell's Palsy dextra with modality of infrared, electrical stimulation and mirror exercise in RSUD Salatiga is quite change, marked by an increase in some aspects (smile, spasm, muscle M. Frontalis and M. Nasalis).
