Abstract
ABSTRACT The Relation of Low Dense Lipoprotein with Glomerular Filtration Rate in Patient with Chronic Kidney Disease at Dr. Moewardi Hospital of Surakarta Baiq Selsilya Prapita Nilda, Suryo Aribowo Taroeno BACKGROUND: Chronic kidney disease is a serious health problem because the prevalence of CKD keep increased with age troughout the world, including in Indonesia. Patient with lower renal function display an atherogenic lipid profile with high LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol. LDL is considered contributing the progression of chronic kidney disease. Circulating lipoproteins play a direct role in the pathogenesis of glomerulosclerosis and tubulointerstitial changes. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between LDL with GFR in patients with chronic kidney disease at Dr. Moewardi Hospital of Surakarta. METHODS: This study used observational analytic design with cross sectional approach using secondary data obtained from medical records. The study design was used to study the relationship between LDL with GFR in chronic kidney disease. RESULTS: From the analysis using Spearman's test there is a negative relationship between LDL with GFR in patients with chronic kidney disease, with a p value of 0.044 (p<0,05) and r= -0,213. Based on the results of this study concluded that there is correlation between LDL with GFR in patients with chronic kidney disease at Dr. Moewardi Hospital of Surakarta. CONCLUSION: There is a relationship between LDL with GFR in patients with chronic kidney disease at Dr. Moewardi Hospital of Surakarta. Keywords: LDL, GFR, Chronic Kidney Disease
