Abstract

ABSTRACT Batik Industry is one of the most developed industries in Indonesia. Batik Supriyarso is one of Batik UKM located in Kampung Batik Laweyan area. One of the elements that affect the process of making batik is energy. The kinds of energy used in the batik industries are electrical energy and fuel energy sources. In this research, there are some steps to do. First step is to calculate the efficiency of each energy used. It is necessary to make an energy savings so it will increase the value of energy efficiency. One of the efforts that increase the value of energy saving is energy conservation. In order to generate the effective energy use, several alternatives are needed. One way to identify which alternatives are more effective is using MCDM (Multi Criteria Decision Making). One of the methods in MCDM that can be used is PROMETHEE (Preference Rank Organization Organization for Enrichment Evaluation). There are some steps in PROMETHEE, first define the criteria and alternatives, second determine the type of preference, third calculate value and preference index, fourth calculate the leaving flow, entering flow and net flow and the last step is sort the value from the largest to the smallest so you can determine which alternative is best. The final result of this research is the value of energy efficiency and some alternatives that can help batik industry Supriyarso or the others to save more energies.
