Abstract

Indah Prihatin/ A310130070. AN ANALYSIS OF ERROR LANGUAGE SPEECH SYNTAX LEVEL ON NARRATIVE ESSAY OF CLAS VIII H SMP NEGERI 2 GATAK. Rasearch Paper. Faculty of TeacherTraining and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. July, 2017. Write is the most difficult language skills mastered by learners. Learning writing should get the emphasis and special training to learners in order to be able to minimize the errors that may occur in the writing. This study aims to describe the form or error in the field of syntax in the narrative text of junior high school students, the impact toward the error on the clarity meaning of the sentence on the student narrative essay. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, the object of this research is the form or error in the field of syntax and the impact toward the error on the clarity meaning of the sentence on the essay. Source of data that is used the form of primary data source in the form of narrative expository student of VIII grade in junior high school. Technique of collecting data that is refer and record, data analysis technique used is method of padan with referential padan technique, pragmatic pad, and read markah. In addition, there are also methods used in the form of permutation techniques, inserts, paraphrases, and extensions. The results of the analysis found three forms or error in the field of syntax includes: (1) the form of error in the form of ambiguous sentences, unclear sentences, and improper diction in forming a sentence. (2) Impact errors in the syntactic field of the analyzed data found 16 sentences impact of language error that the meaning can be understood, 11 sentences impact of language error meaning is less clear, 21 sentences impact of language errors that the meaning is rather clear, 3 sentences impact error language meaning is unclear, and 2 sentences the impact of language errors whose meaning is very unclear.
