Abstract
This research aims to describe the implementation of teaching English vocabulary using multimedia and to increase the students’ English vocabulary skill using multimedia. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The object of the study is increasing students’ vocabulary using multimedia at the kindergarten of TK Dharma Wanita 1 Kuripan Purwodadi. To collect the data, the writer takes some methods, namely (1) observation, (2) document, and (3) interview. The writer conducts the classroom action research in three cycles and each cycle consists of four elements, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. To analyze the data, the writer reduces the data, explains the data, and draws the conclusion. The result of the research shows that the mean of pre-test is 67, 41, the mean of the post-test is 80, 32, and the improvement result of the implementation is 12, 41. The result of pre-test and post-test indicates that the students’ English vocabulary mastery is significantly improved. The students are not easily getting bored in studying English vocabulary, they looked happy and interested in learning English vocabulary. There were 29 students who increase their vocabulary achievement and 2 students who have static achievement. In other words, the teaching English vocabulary using multimedia is successful
