Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease associated with progressive disability, systemic complications and early onset. Active RA results from the dysregulation of the body's immune system to its systemic manifestations. The incidence of rheumatoid arthritis is common in women of men, with a 6: 1 ratio at age 15 - 45 years, over 60 years is estimated. The purpose of this study are to evaluate NSAIDs and DMARDs prescription in patients with RA at RSUP Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten 2015-2016 based on parameters proper indication, proper patient, proper drug and proper dosage. This study was a non experimental research. Data was obtained retrospectively from medical records of patients with RA. Data was descriptively analyzed 51 patients were included as sample by purposive sampling method. Inclusion criteria of this study was patient’s with RA who accept OAINS and/or DMARD prescription in 2015-2016 with complete medical record. Exclusion criteria of this study was RA patients who have comorbidities treated with NSAIDs. The standard evaluation used is the Rheumatology Association of Indonesian 2014, Pharmacoteraphy A Pathopysiologic Approach 2008 and Drug Information Handbook 2009. The result of evaluation is 100% proper indications, 62,7% proper patient, 62,7% proper drug and the 75% proper dosage. Keywords: rheumatoid arthritis, NSAID, DMARD, rational evaluation.
