Abstract

It is known extract of banana weevil contain phenolic compounds are secondary using a replica on Nutrient Agar (NA) is next in incubation for 24 hours, and counted the number of bacterial colonies grow. Statistical tests are conduted with test Post Hoc Test by using a test Sceffe.Conclusion the results of the statistical analysis that there is a significant difference between a negative control with formula hand sanitizer liquid mixture of banana kepok weevil and lime, so that this formula has its effectiveness as an antiseptic. The most effective volume variation as hand sanitizer is formula F4 comparison with 2:1 (6.7 ml of 3.3 ml banana kepok weefil and lime juice).metabolites such as saponins, glycosides and tannins, while in lime contains elements useful chemical compounds, such as essential oil that function as an antibacterial, namely flavonoids can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. So, to get the optimal formula as hand sanitizer used a combination of liquids of banana kepok weevil and lime wedges.
