Abstract

The management function is one of the way to achieve the goals and objectivity of nursing care and nursing services. A hospitals should be apply the management function. There are four function of management that comprised of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Therefore the management function is very important to implemented by the leader consistently to improve the performance of nurses, So as to be an effective and efficient nursing service team. The aim of this research to determine the description of managerial function on the provision of nursing care by team method at the hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This type of research is quantitative with simple descriptive and cross section approach. Sampling using is total sampling obtained a large sample of 42 respondents nurses executor who served in the inpatient Multazam and Abubakar room. Data analysis used is univariate analysis. The result of the research collected using questionnaire of management function can show that all component of managerial function mostly in good category, that is on aspect of big plan is good 83%, organizing aspect mostly is good 55%, steering aspect mostly is good 55% and Most supervisory aspects are good 55%.
