Abstract
In a madrassa, students need to be aware about the hope that they bring, the challenges they face and skills they need to control. But efforts to repair anything be done to improve the quality of education will not give a significant without being supported by the teacher quality. Society or parents were sometimes blame and accused the quality of teacher is not competent, if the achievements their children down. It is necessary a leader who is based on national identity that actually matter, because the values of cultural and religious and is able to anticipate the changes that occur in the education world. One of the Madrasah in order to well performance is to provide guidance to the teachers. Guidance was made to perform teachers to do the task to be honest, responsible, effective and efficient. Issues that are examined in this study is: How the role of the leadership of the madrasah in improving the performance of teachers in MI Muhammadiyah Tegalampel the. Karangdowo Kab. Klaten. The purpose this research is to describe the role of the leadership the headmaster Madrasah to improve the performance of teachers in MI Muhammadiyah Tegalampel. This research located in MI Muhammadiyah Tegalampel the. Karangdowo Kab. Klaten, with the object of research is the Madrasah MI Muhammadiyah Tegalampel to implement the task of leading in Madrasah. This research is a field research by using qualitative research. The method of analysis of data used in this research is descriptive qualitative way the discussion that is used to analyze the data is with the inductive.mindset. From the result of this research, conclude that the Madrasah MI Muhammadiyah Tegalampel in carrying out its role as head of the madrasah has been running well, that is, as 1) Educator, 2) Manager, 3) Administrator, 4) Supervisior 5) Leader. 6) Motivators, and 7) Inovator, so the work it can run smoothly and achieve the target. The headmaster of Madrasah MI Muhammadiyah Tegalampel in improving the performance of teachers is by 1) Increasing comprehension of the teachers with the curriculum is implemented by Madrasah. 2) Carrying out Supervisi in accordance with the standards of national or in accordance with the National Standards Education (BNSP). 3) Creating a climate conducive working in order to increase motivation of teachers.
