Abstract

Backgroud of The Study : Cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegi causa microcephalus is a non progressive brain disorder that effects in the stiffening of the four limbs caused by the brain and the tissue within it that is not fully developed so that it is smaller. In that case, physiotherapy modalities were used in the form of neuro development treatment which aimed to reduce spastic and improve functional ability. Objective of The Study : The objective of tis study is to know the implementation of physioteraphy in decreasing spastic and increasing functional capability on the case of cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegi causa microcephalus by using neuro development treatment approach. Result: After doing the therapy for six times, the result of spasticity with asworth scaleobtained the same results or no change and did not decrease. Functional capability assessments with gross motor functional measurement obtained dimensions results A T1 : 37, 25%, becomes T6 : 37, 25%, dimension B T1 : 15%, becomes T6 : 15%, dimension C T1 : 0%, becomes T6 : 0%, dimension D T1 : 0%, becomes T6 : 0%, dimension E T1 : 0%, becomes T6 0%, final score from gross motor functional measurement T1 : 10, 45%, becomes T6 : 10, 45%. Conclusion: Neuro development treatment in order to decrease spasticity and increase functional ability on the four extremities obtained the same results or no change and did not decrease, functional ability with Gross motor function measurement also did not increase and did not decrease.
